anyone have some results of this EA? I can share mine, but the sample is still very small.

All 14 executed trades were BUY positions. A SELL STOP pending order was also observed, but it was cancelled before execution.
3. Risk Management and Trading Behaviour
Several interesting characteristics have emerged during the forward test.
Initial risk/reward ratio
The EA consistently places its initial take-profit approximately five times farther from entry than its initial stop-loss.
Initial R:R is therefore approximately 1:5.
However, the actual realized reward/risk ratio is different because the EA actively manages its stop-loss after entry.
Position sizing
Position sizes vary according to the initial stop-loss distance.
Full stop-loss trades have consistently lost approximately €47–50, suggesting position sizing based on approximately 0.5% account risk per trade.
This risk percentage is an observation from the forward test, not a confirmed configurable setting.
Active stop-loss management
The EA actively modifies stop-loss levels after entry.
Three small winning trades were closed at approximately +0.06R, suggesting a breakeven-plus or profit-lock mechanism.
Larger winning trades have also been observed:
- +€74.07, approximately +1.61R
- +€125.36, approximately +2.59R
- +€70.98, approximately +1.48R
All observed profitable trades were closed through modified stop-loss levels rather than the original 5R take-profit target.
This means the initial 1:5 R:R should not be confused with the EA's actual realized average reward/risk ratio.
Pending orders
Three cancelled pending orders have been recorded.
Two BUY STOP orders remained active for approximately three hours. One SELL STOP was cancelled after two hours.
The precise pending-order expiration and cancellation rules are not yet confirmed.
Trade duration
Most executed trades have been very short, ranging from just a few seconds to approximately 11 minutes.
This is an important consideration for future live testing, particularly regarding spreads, slippage and execution quality.
Grid and martingale behaviour
No grid accumulation, recovery baskets or martingale-style position escalation have been observed in this sample.
Each observed executed trade had an individual protective stop-loss and a defined take-profit.
This does not yet establish that such behaviour is impossible under all market conditions.
4. Current Assessment
The EA is currently showing a small net loss in this forward-test sample.
Its initial 5R target, relatively consistent risk sizing and active stop management are interesting characteristics, but profitability has not yet been established.
The main question is whether the EA can generate enough sufficiently large winning trades to compensate for its full stop-losses and frequent small profit-lock exits.
The sample is still too small for a reliable performance conclusion.
5. Next Steps
I am continuing the forward test with unchanged default settings.
The initial research checkpoint is approximately 20–30 executed trades, after which I plan to evaluate the observed performance distribution, stop-management behaviour, execution sensitivity and suitability for a possible micro-live test.
I am also testing Matrix Bars v2.1 on MT5 separately. Its results are not included in this MT4 report.
I will share further results as the sample grows.
Happy trading and good luck with your Matrix Bars tests!
