Communication Building a Full-Time Trading Path – Need Insights & Resources

Hey folks,

I’m in the early stages of developing a solid trading methodology with the goal of becoming a full-time professional trader (day trading focused).

Right now, my approach centers around orderflow and market structure, with plans to dive deeper into macro, explore multiple markets, and currently focused on indices (S&P 500 & Nasdaq) + options.

Trading is my long-term career path—I'm a person with disability, so this is my full-time commitment and future livelihood.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

  1. Building a solid, flexible trading methodology
  2. Choosing markets & adapting to ever-changing conditions
  3. Evolving into a full-time trader
  4. Mistakes to avoid or key lessons from your journey
  5. Go-to courses, books, or resources that helped you

Any insights would mean a lot. Thanks in advance!

One thing to realise is everyone’s path is unique. So even if someone shares what worked for them, you won’t necessarily be able to follow it and achieve identical results.

Another thing is that it’s a lifelong journey. So don’t expect to know everything at once. The first goal is to get one repeatable strategy that works and execute it as part of a process. Then you have a foundation and can build/improve upon it.

I don’t want to re-write what I’ve already written in other threads but you can find some stuff there for course recommendations.

Beyond courses and books etc. the other thing is to actually do the work. People think trading as a job means you’re literally buying and selling all day - that’s (most likely) just gambling.

The “work” comes from the research, the strategy development, learning how to use your tools, software, collecting data and statistics, learning history, observing the news, keeping a track of your thoughts, observations and evolving awareness of what’s going on in the world around you (ideation).

Trading Psychology 2.0 (it’s a book) is a good one to read as it helps breakdown the various aspects of trading.

Also this videos pretty good at sharing someone’s actual journey

Wish you the best of luck

Very good video.

I've been in this game for a long, long time with some successes and some failures. The best thing you can do it not compare your journey with others (as the quote goes "comparison is the thief of joy") and focus on finding an edge. After that you can start working on psychology etc etc. Finding the edge is the key part which as mentioned previously requires a LOT of work.

Wow, it's been a roller coaster journey since I posted this thread. Firstly, thanks to everyone who responded.

Quick update: while my personal life and health struggles worsened this year, pulling me far from my career, I must say I've made some progress in learning and understanding trading as a business industry. Lot of good, bad, and stupid courses, rooms, and bs. Failures, and payouts. And im nowhere close to being a 'professional'.

I pursued auction market theory as my approach towards the markets and I've liked every bit of learning. Ofcourse I still utilise my prior knowledge of price action and s/d.

Courses and resources that I found helpful:
1. Victorio from tradepro academy (now he runs his own brand named paralia). Hes my #1 preference for learning amt and orderflow. I joined his live and course last winter. Learned a lot of valuable stuff, from foundation to intermediate. The way he talks, teaches, and communicates, made the lives and course so much comprehensive to learn and adapt.
2. Dalton books.
3. Onlyticks old course. Helped me understand price action within amt better.
4. There used to be another discord similar to onlyticks' which taught amt and profiles a bit better. Victorio + this helped me learn context building better.
5. Axia futures footprint course. I found all the other axia courses less helpful or even useless, but the footprint course is the best till date. Nobody reaches fp better than axia.
6. Rizzo's amt notion. Kinda disappointed that he just wrote up few pages on notion for his 'amt course'. Kinda basic stuff because I got it AFTER completing victorio and other course. But if someones new to amt, this will be my #1 recommendation to get started with.
7. Carmine rosato. Free stuff from his yt and ig. Great hold of contextual orderflow.
8. Cbrackn aka orderflowmafia. Another great flow trader and one of the best trader to have in network. I was briefly a part of his premium.
9. There might be 1 or 2 names i dont remember rn but I'll mention once i recall.

Good but not helpful for learning:-
1. JJ aka vwaptrader1. Daltons 3rd world replica. No disrespect, but his lives are way vague.
2. Vibetraders ( Xyzeee, Nick, stowe). Just another room, nothing much to learn there. Stowe sometimes drops some fundamental knowledge stuff but won't help in trading.
3. Tradepro academy (not victorio, the other guy). Trades ES based on pullbacks orderflow. Good but not solid enough for learning. I watched his course and was in winter lives too.
4. Jigsaw, nobs. Not bad, just old. A lot of their teachings are now not useful because of the shift in regime. They're great traders tho. Had few words with jigsaw, undoubtedly a good human being too.

Stupid effing larps:-
Wow where do I even start?
1. Fabio valentini. Shits so bad i dont even wanna waste any energy talking about it.
2. Jeron. Imma beat his ass so hard itll turn well done.
3. World class edge of wtv tf that bs is.
4. All those replicas of Fabio and jeron. Bruh they're regenerating like monsoon worms.

------------
My current standing: while im still not in a position where I can consider myself consistently profitable. But im trying and learning better. So far Ive understood that social media itself is a lard universe, where these influencer just churn and burn props and live off affiliates and course money.
And, trading isnt limited to mere indices or crypto or fx pairs. A lot of things are there to explore and learn ahead.
Strategy hopping and fancying every random course or room is just wasting time and money. Sticking to a framework, practicing by application and journaling, and 100s of reps of the same process over and over again is how one can 'build an edge'.

Im still open to suggestions and advices. Prayers to God.

Hi Yeongsu! I would be glad to be with contact with you as a trader following logical approach to price movement.

super helpful, thx for sharing! I hope you are recovering well!

@yeongsu On your recommendation for TradePro Victorio, where do I get his course? is there any GB for this? super interested in learning about it!

Disappointing to see your reference on Fabio and WorldClass Edge, I have spend lots of money on their courses :(

I was in victorio's winter lives last year. That was his last 'course'. So it was a first hand learning for me, not from gb or any leaks.

Yeah, trading industry is unfortunately this hard to surf around. There are larps everywhere. Ive wasted huge amount too.

Firstly ive stopped exploring any more courses, as ive understood the difference of professional trader and someone who just pretends and fakes being one. What I can suggest is first and foremost, look to learn from traders who trade personal live accounts, not props. And if they offer courses or mentorships, id consider to check their year-on-year trading logs in public for a minimum of 2 to 3 years back.

A couple weeks ago, lucid prop posted their stats which nakedly showed the fact that barely someone is profitable, tonight takeprofittrader called out one of their traders for being in net negative across all accounts yet managing to take nearly 80k in payouts. They also shared the stats of tilts and stuff, which proves that net losses were in a couple hundred k.
Most mentors out there are using the veil of prop to fool aspiring traders. Showing often fake payout ss, hiding tilts, and living off affiliate commissions, discord premiums, and course selling.

The game isnt of 'roi', or 'rinsing' sim fundeds, trading is a business of maths and money, with a lot of logic, experience, continuous learning, and survival.

A few live traders i know and follow on X are rizzo, victorio, carmine rosato etc., among which I got rizzo's notion, and victorios lessons as mentioned above.

I can go public and strip the entire deepcharts naked, as I aas provided with massive fraud proofs from wce mentees, but its a headache and I dont wanna get doxxed. They're larpest of the larps mfs. Selling overpriced charting platform by whitelabelling it, and stupid lives in which wr and rr is just dumb.
Same is with his copycat jeron, and then theres jerons copycats like thraxx, and others.

Best you can do for your professional growth is block and never look at these retards.
Follow and learn from reliable live traders, and spend time journaling, noting, and learning on your own discretion and observation.

thanks mate for sharing this! Too much to be disappointed with! I am going through TradePro courses, Gerogios, he is Victorio's partner, as I cannot find anything in a structured form from Victorio's unless I pay for his course, I wonder if there is a GB to put this together!

There is one recent 2026 course from George. There is another which I can find online from TradesPro academy is from 2023, not sure victorio is teaching in this or not.

Please post your findings from the Tradepro course whether to get this or not.
